Pink Star Barro is one of Southwest Nova Scotia’s most established law firms with a history dating back to 1981. In the year prior, Martin Pink, in partnership with Hugh Jon Fraser and Andrew Nickerson, purchased the building located at 390 Main Street in Yarmouth that had been occupied for a number of years by the Yarmouth law firm Chipman Sanderson. Along with one member of the original firm, Don Chipman, Chipman, Fraser, Pink & Nickerson was born.

From its beginning to the present day, the Yarmouth law firm has gone through a series of changes. In 1982, Phil Star joined the fold and for a number of years, the firm was known as Pink Nickerson Star. In 2004, Andrew Nickerson left the firm to form Nickerson Jacquard, making way for more change to the firm’s makeup and Pink Star Barro was formed.

In addition to the main office in Yarmouth, Alex has had a second office of his own in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia for the past 5 years. The office is staffed full-time and proudly serves the residents of Shelburne and Yarmouth Counties. 

 

For the past 10 years,  Pink Star Barro has operated an office in Church Point, Nova Scotia. This office is also staffed full-time and proudly serves Digby and Yarmouth Counties.
